Conversion of grain cleaning and drying complexes to wood pellets

Grain cleaning and drying complexes used for grain processing can be transferred to FOCUS pellet burners. At the same time, the cost of a kilowatt will be reduced by at least 60%. This significantly increases the profitability of any dryers, including those lines that are designed to prepare waste for subsequent processing.

A good motive for switching to agro- and wood pellets will be the opening of production. But even in the case of purchasing ready-made granules as energy raw materials, the cost of a kilowatt is reduced by 2 times. As you can see, wood pellets are the optimal fuel. However, even among the proposals, you can find products with a more pronounced efficiency. For example, pellets from sunflower husk give heat, comparable in intensity to coal. Grain-cleaning and drying complexes of agricultural enterprises can operate on fuel of their own production.

The principle of operation of the drying complex

By their design principle, drying complexes represent a line of automatic feeding of raw materials with loading into drying sections.

The features of the work include:

  • high-quality drying of raw materials using powerful streams of hot air;
  • drying provides uniform indicators of mass moisture;
  • excess moisture is captured and removed from the installation;
  • the raw material is purified from heavy fractions using mechanical filters;
  • there is an automatic feed and microprogram control is implemented.

Design and equipment

The cost of drying complexes is influenced by the equipment configuration. It may include:

  • heat generators;
  • air ducts;
  • filters;
  • crushers;
  • vibrating screens;
  • automatic feed of raw materials.

Obviously, filters and crushers clean and grind the raw material, preparing it for the next stage of production.

The main functions of a modern drying complex:

  • prepare biomass for drying;
  • during drying, ensure uniform conditions and bring the humidity indicator to a constant value.

Domestic and foreign equipment is presented in Ukraine. It is usually designed to process raw materials with 50-75% moisture, providing an output of more than 1 ton of raw materials per hour.

The lower the moisture content of the raw material, the faster the processing takes place. Infrared dryers provide maximum performance. Aerodynamic complexes can, at best, process up to 500 kg / h at 75% humidity. The output is a product with a moisture content of 5-12%, depending on the type of drying and equipment.

In this sense, FOCUS pellet burners, when retrofitting pellet stoves that previously operated on solid fuels, can provide the highest productivity and uniform drying of raw materials with bringing the mass to a minimum moisture content. Grain cleaning and drying complexes operating on pellets are more cost-effective and profitable.
