Which boiler to choose and make air heating at home

Air heating in a private house: choosing a boiler

Our company offers for household needs pellet burners FOCUS, designed for various powers, starting from 17 kW. This equipment structurally implies installation as an adapter module for the transition to pellets, which does not require structural changes to the boiler. But how can you, for example, organize air heating at home... For many owners of frame houses, heating with warm air according to the Canadian method is of interest.

Air heating - boilers for heating air and water

Air heating not only in the house, but also in the greenhouse can be organized according to the air draft principle. To do this, you will need a heat recovery boiler, which prepares the coolant directly and supplies it with the help of air ducts to the rooms. It can also be conventional equipment with a water circuit, where the air supply points are additionally equipped with a powerful fan, providing mixing and constant heating of the air masses.

The main difference between the Canadian method of heating frame houses, which by default refer to fast-cooling structures, is the following. Air ducts are laid in the underground space, and air is supplied through openings with grilles into the room. This is due to the fact that warm air masses rise upward and accumulate under the ceiling.

Obviously, such a system implies the presence of a second floor and / or a well-insulated roof. In this case, the heat loss of the lower rooms will be useful and directed to heating.

Correct design and ceiling air intakes are essential

Air heating at home requires proper system design. First of all, taking into account the thermodynamic characteristics of air masses. In addition to air supply, to reduce heat loss, ceiling air intakes are required, which re-supply air to the system, mixing into it, among other things, heated air masses rich in oxygen. This ensures a normal microclimate, which is controlled by automation. pellet burner FOCUS and additional equipment.

Heating a private house with warm air: basic principles

When self-deploying warm air heating, consider:

  • for heating, you will need a specialized boiler designed for the preparation of warm air, and a ventilation system with the distribution of heat to the rooms;
  • alternatively, an air heating circuit connected to fan heaters can be used;
  • it is better to supply air from the air ducts located near the floor;
  • air heating is well suited for multi-storey buildings, due to the simplification of the air supply design;
  • note that warm air collects near the walls and not in the center of the room. Ensure mixing of air masses!

Obviously, for the deployment of such a system, the basement location of the boiler room is optimal. To increase efficiency and transfer to automatic combustion mode, you can set pellet burners FOCUS... Or a pellet boiler for air heating, which will cost more than a separate module. Replacing water heating with air heating will require a major overhaul of the premises. But you can simulate with fan heaters. In this case, the dismantling of the floor covering can be avoided.
