Heating the production hall with pellets: the era of heating without gas

Talking about efficient heating, most often attention is paid to heating residential buildings and apartments. Probably because of the urgency of the problem. But no less in demand is the direction of heating the production workshop. Enterprises need modern equipment that meets the spirit of the times and the specifics of the economic situation with the availability of fuel. It should be noted that enterprises are also forced to look for cheap energy resources for space heating, change the heating system. At the same time, there are significant differences between heat supply for the residential sector and industries.

First of all, the principles of organizing the heating system differ

Efficient, economical and comfortable heating without gas is a dream not only of every citizen of Ukraine, but especially of industrial enterprises. Their energy consumption is much higher for several reasons.

The main features of industrial workshops, conceptually distinguishing them from residential premises:

  • high ceilings - 5-6 meters, where not only equipment is located, but also loading and unloading mechanisms;
  • large areas of premises;
  • large heat loss in winter.

It should be noted that heating industrial premises and, in practice, heating them without gas is an important economic task of the enterprise, which allows to reduce the cost of production. Heating is needed not only for people who must work in production in a comfortable environment. A lot of industrial equipment only works stably at a certain temperature. This is due to the characteristics of the materials, which change significantly in cold weather.

Sanitary standards imply that the heating of the production workshop must be organized so that the temperature does not fall below 17-18 C. For this reason, dynamic heating, which implies a decrease in temperature indicators during non-working hours, is not applicable in workshops, but can be used in technical rooms. Temperature reduction can be carried out in warehouses. The question remains how to organize a heating complex and deploy a heating system.

Air heating of the production hall: pros and cons

Despite the fact that air heating is considered the most effective for rapidly cooling rooms, it turned out to be less applicable in industrial conditions. Rather, a correct design is very important, taking into account all the thermodynamic properties of such a solution.

Typically, air heating, like air conditioning, is combined with a ventilation system. It is a cost effective and very convenient solution. However, air supply from above in workshops, where in fact it is necessary to heat a height of 1.5-2 m from the floor, led to ineffective heat losses in about 60% volume of the total useful heat consumption. Warm air tends to rise upward, where it simply disappeared due to the non-insulated roof.

The situation can be changed by placing the air ducts not in the walls, but on the ceiling with a powerful fan that provides air exchange. Moreover, this option still has flaws:

  • irrational energy consumption;
  • air is mixed with dust due to the temperature difference.

As a result, not only compliance with the recommended standards is required, but also a professional approach to the organization of heating.

Solid fuel boilers FOCUS with burners in industrial heating

Factory boiler rooms are large in size. Today, enterprises have the opportunity to install micro-boiler rooms in each individual facility. Solid fuel boilers FOCUS have one feature. They run on granular fuel with a pellet burner and are controlled microcontroller PLUM... Thanks to cheap fuel, the ability to programmatically control the boiler through SCADA, it becomes possible to eliminate all the described disadvantages of heating production facilities. The manufacturer offers boiler rooms for 100, 200, 300 and 500 kW, as well as pellet burners FOCUS  from 17 kWt before 900 kWtthat do not require structural changes to the boilers.

Reducing heating costs when switching to industrial solid fuel boilers and FOCUS pellet burners is at least 60% from the volume of gas costs. Thanks to dynamic heating with climate control, savings can approach the 70-80% mark. That is, the cost of pellet heating for your enterprise will not exceed 20-30% of the current gas costs.
