The pellet burner is the main functional element that fundamentally distinguishes pellet boiler from solid fuel. It is a wood pellet feeding device with fuel ignition with the creation of certain combustion conditions. A distinction is made between rotary and flare burners, which are fundamentally different in terms of efficiency. Modern boilers are equipped with a flare-type pellet device; the operation of a pellet burner is discussed below.

The design largely determines the process of work pellet burner

Each flare burner has its own characteristics and differs functionally and structurally. Not every manufacturer discloses the technological features of the equipment. This is done due to the preservation of the uniqueness of the design or due to the lack of innovation.

Pellet burner operation process:

1. The device is equipped with a feed auger, which feeds fuel pellets from an internal hopper into the combustion chamber.
2. Ignition is carried out automatically from the heating cord due to the creation of certain thermodynamic conditions.
3. Oxygen is supplied at the chamber inlet and over the entire surface using a rotary housing. This type of air supply can be called a point type to maintain the intensity of combustion.
4. The design of the combustion chamber is an air rotor chamber that frames the combustion rotor chamber. Due to this, the air is evenly distributed throughout the entire volume of the combustion chamber. This approach makes it possible to provide instant pyrolysis afterburning of combustion products, increasing the efficiency of the burner.
5. This rotary pellet burner has mechanical cleaning of the structure from ash, which is discharged into a separate box.

1. What type of burner is offered.
2. What is the design of both the air chamber and the combustion chamber.
3. How the air is supplied.
4. How the chamber is cleared of ash.

On the Ukrainian market, manufacturers represent different types of pellet burners, including the flare type. At the same time, the process of operation of a pellet burner and its design features largely determine the efficiency and comfortable maintenance. Also, each model is focused on different modes of operation with fuel of different efficiency, many work only on wood pellets... The difference lies in the features of the secondary air supply for more intensive combustion of gases with a low quality of pellets and ash removal.
