How is artificial fog made for greenhouses? What is needed for this

The offer for farmers is constantly expanding, so artificial fog for greenhouses not only quickly appeared on the agricultural technology market, but was also positively received by consumers. How are these systems different from home systems? And is it possible to install a full-fledged fog system in an industrial greenhouse if you purchase a model for home and garden?

The answer is obvious, industrial fog systems for greenhouses are specialized equipment. His work can be appreciated even visually from the photo. Professional systems create a dense foggy cloud throughout the greenhouse.

Artificial fog for greenhouses and its advantages

Before a brief description of mist systems for industrial use in agribusinesses, the benefits should be highlighted. What specific benefits will farmers get from using:

  • economical water consumption without irrigation limitation;
  • higher yield due to plant-friendly irrigation system;
  • the ability to turn on the system “on demand”, including when using sensors and a timer;
  • foliar feeding (separate option).

In aggregate, we can say that the farmer will spend less water for irrigating the greenhouse, which is especially important if he does not have his own well. This will reduce the complexity of irrigation, as the system can work automatically.

How are industrial artificial fog systems for greenhouses different?

When it comes to buying and, of course, saving, it is important to pay attention to technical specifications and important features.

The properties that are important for selection are:

  • intelligent system control;
  • using metal nozzles to spray a water cloud;
  • selection of a high pressure system with a quality filter and pump.

Please note that artificial fog for greenhouses will require a filtration unit, which will include:

  • mechanical filter for water purification from suspensions;
  • water softener, water softening is also produced by ultrasonic and chemical methods.

The mist system may include a foliar complex. It should include a container for liquid fertilizer and again filters so as not to damage the nozzles.

In greenhouses with foggers, regardless of format and use, ceiling fans are also installed.

Types of fog systems:

  • low pressure system (2.5-6 kgf/cm2) - for gardens and home greenhouses, not designed for industrial use;
  • medium pressure system (about 15 kgf/cm2) - suitable for small greenhouses;
  • high pressure system (up to 100 kgf/cm2) – designed for use in industrial greenhouses.

Clearly, artificial fog for greenhouses will work well on a high pressure plant, which is desirably touch controlled. Several nozzle circuits can be connected to one system, which can be switched on together or alternately. The variable switching on of the circuits makes it possible to irrigate the greenhouse with a system with a lower power.

FIREBOX can develop a fog system for your greenhouse, as a separate offer, program-controlled microclimate systems are available, including greenhouse heating on pellet fuel.
