Climate control in a greenhouse with PLUM automation
Today we will discuss how to organize climate control in a greenhouse using PLUM automation and a FOCUS pellet boiler. Let us immediately note that this is an expanded system, which includes, among other things, air conditioning of the greenhouse. The proposed option will help you significantly reduce labor costs for maintenance and increase yield.
For climate control in a greenhouse you will need:
- light sensor;
- CO2 sensor;
- temperature sensor;
- humidity sensor;
This is not an exhaustive set of sensors; you can complicate the system, but the proposed option is quite sufficient for the desired effect. To support the microclimate in this case, a water and air heating system is organized, automatic opening of windows and closing of curtains in the sun is deployed, fog system in addition to the irrigation system.
PLUM automation for greenhouses
To put it bluntly, PLUM does not automate greenhouses, so you will not find a complete set of sensors. However, with the help of devices from this company, you can make bottom heating of the ground, organize air heating and ensure heating of a winter greenhouse at low costs. This is very important, since PLUM is installed on FOCUS pellet equipment, which operates with minimal emissions on high-ash pellets.
In other words, we recommend heating the greenhouse using the EcoFLOOR PLUM and EcoMulti series. These kits help automate underfloor heating and heating circuits. Use hydronic heating with fans and adjust the temperature over a wide range of values.
Please note that you will need an extension module for the underfloor heating and heating circuit. Sensors can be used in wired and wireless versions. This greatly simplifies the installation and deployment of climate control.
Devices that can be used to automate the microclimate system
The proposed devices do not represent a fully functional system, but can be successfully used in greenhouses for their intended purpose.
