Inexpensive solid fuel boiler with climate control

Solid fuel boiler with climate control, inexpensive and cheerful

Many experts recently said that it is impossible to make a solid fuel boiler with climate control. But soon analogue solutions based on hydraulic connections with an indirect heating boiler and a heat accumulator appeared, and the dreams of many homeowners’ comfort began to come true. De facto climate control according to these schemes can be done in a village house with a stove, and by connecting an electric boiler to the system as backup heating.

The next stage in the technical development of the topic was the emergence of solid fuel boilers controlled by a microcontroller. Such solutions in their typical design were inferior to gas, diesel and electric boilers in terms of the number of combustion parameters available for adjustment. The situation changed with the advent of pellet technology. In such boilers, the pellets are fed by a screw into the pellet burner. Such boilers are able to regulate the intensity of air supply, as well as the supply of secondary air for afterburning combustion products.

One of these options is a new product from a Ukrainian manufacturer: a mono-boiler for domestic use. This solid fuel boiler with climate control is inexpensive compared to other models and allows you to adjust combustion parameters in accordance with data from temperature sensors and a weather controller.

It is the presence of a microcontroller that allows you to connect the minimum required number of sensors to the boiler. The microclimate system can be expanded by connecting an expansion module. Both the boiler and the module are shown in the photo. This connection and hydraulics can be implemented on almost any FOCUS TERMO pellet boiler, but usually a wiring system with a three-way and four-way valve is connected.

Organization of climate control in fully autonomous systems based on Polish automation

All boilers of the FOCUS TERMO brand use Polish automation, which has proven itself well among boiler manufacturers. The figure shows a schematic diagram of the organization of comprehensive climate control with several heat sources, as well as autonomous power supply of equipment.

As a result, you get full-fledged smart heating in the context of the “smart home” concept. The automation itself allows you to connect it to smart home systems and supports PID regulation. But in most cases, an analog climate control solution is more than enough.

Installation diagrams for heating systems with climate control

The figure shows the most common installation diagrams, which make it possible to relatively inexpensively deploy a climate control system based on a solid fuel boiler. The whole point of such solutions is that it requires adjustment of the coolant flow rate in each individual circuit or radiator. This is done by adjusting the contour clearance. If you need help in setting up a boiler room, we offer ready-made hydraulic junctions based on weldless victalytic fittings. This is a real opportunity to do professional installation at minimal cost.
