The evaporation of 1 ml of water requires 500-600 calories of heat, which can significantly reduce the air temperature. The efficiency of the system depends on the temperature and relative humidity of the air: the hotter and drier the air, the higher the efficiency, reaching a temperature reduction of up to 15 degrees.
