Cast iron sectional boilers (definition)

Cast iron sectional boilers are boilers, the design of which consists of separate sections made of cast iron. These sections are connected to each other to create a heat exchanger through which the coolant (water or other heat-conducting material) circulates.

Cast iron sectional boilers: features

  • Durability: cast iron has high resistance to corrosion and temperature changes, which ensures a long service life of the boiler.
  • Heat capacity: cast iron boilers retain heat for a long time, which increases heating efficiency.
  • Maintainability: in case of damage, only one section can be replaced, not the entire boiler.
  • Energy efficiency: thanks to the sectional design, the boiler output can be adapted to specific needs by adding or removing sections.

Sectional boilers made of cast iron are used in private homes and industrial facilities, especially in systems with high thermal loads.
