Private household: heating is not cheap to buy
Let's assume that you have purchased a household or built a house, we decided to consider the question of which heating to buy, guided by certain pros and cons. We will talk about pellet, electric and gas heating, as well as a comparison of technologies and costs for deploying a home boiler room. If you already have a heating system, our article will help you understand how you can improve it.
In practice, the situation is as follows. The most affordable way to deploy a comfortable heating system controlled by climate control is based on a program-controlled electrode boiler. It does not require registration with authorities and will perfectly complement fireplace heating with a backup heat connection from an electric boiler via a sensor.
Quite expensive to install, but in some cases, pellet heating will be almost free to operate. Expensive to install and operate, but gas heating, of course, remains popular among consumers. Now more details.
What heating should I buy for a small private household?
For a small house and household, it is better to purchase a budget water heating system based on an electrode boiler, which automatically turns on and regulates the temperature. Heating from electricity can work as a backup, that is, it can be turned on during periods when you do not light the fireplace or constantly work at minimum power. The cost of such a solution for 40 sq. m will cost approximately 5000 UAH. (2024) for the purchase of a 2 kW boiler and about 1000 UAH. It will cost a pump and a reservoir. Why is this solution better than buying thermal panels?
Firstly, you can make two heating circuits that will switch between each other. For example, in the spring-autumn period the house will be heated with low-temperature heated floors. In winter, you simply switch the boiler to radiator heating. If necessary, you can connect two circuits to two low-power boilers or to one of the required power.
Secondly, it is better to buy water heating using an electrode boiler as it is more durable, while the thermal panel will require replacement after 5-8 years. Thermal panels, at a comparable cost, do not provide uniform heating around the perimeter like a water circuit.
What restrictions are there for electric heating?
The limitation to deploying an electric heating system will, of course, be the power and heating costs. Typically, about 3 kW of electricity is allocated to a house. If more is required, you are required to apply for an allocation of more for consumption. This will entail additional costs of at least 1000 UAH. for the allocated kilowatt upon registration. Even if you save money, you can buy electric heating, but it will be quite expensive to operate, especially as tariffs rise.
For this reason, we recommend using a solar system and mains electricity for this option.
Is solar power plant beneficial for heating?
If we are talking about installing an individual power plant, then it will be ineffective in winter, when maximum heating is required. For heating underfloor heating in the off-season, it is better to use solar systems; their cost will be about 40 thousand UAH, operation and heating will be free. To take advantage of free electricity in winter, you will have to install a power plant under the “Green Tariff”; the cost of such a purchase will be approximately 200 thousand UAH. for 10 kW.
You can buy cheap heating
For a fairly large house, it is better to buy heating using pellets. This is a FOCUS pellet boiler with program control in a monoblock format. With a cost for 2024, it will cost 180 thousand UAH. and will provide you with almost free heat (if you make your own pellets from agricultural waste).
If you are not satisfied with the cost of installation, you can purchase gas generator boiler FOCUS.
