Air valves (definition)

Air valves - these are devices installed in heating systems, water supply or cooling systems to automatically remove air from the system or to prevent it from entering the circuit.

Main functions:

1. Removing air: They remove trapped air from pipes and heat exchangers, preventing the formation of air pockets that can reduce the efficiency of a heating or cooling system.
2. Preventing air ingress: Air valves can also prevent air from entering the system, which helps keep the equipment running smoothly.

Types of air valves:

• Automatic: They operate without operator intervention, releasing air automatically when it accumulates in the system.
• Manual (Maevsky tap): Opened manually to release air from radiators and pipes.

Application:

They are widely used in central heating systems, boilers, heat exchangers, as well as in water and steam systems. The installation of these valves helps improve the circulation of the coolant and increase the efficiency of the system.
