Adjustable heating circuit - is the part of the heating system in which temperature and distribution are controlled coolant in order to optimize the system operation and ensure a comfortable temperature regime in the room. Adjustable circuits include equipment that allows you to change and maintain the specified heating parameters, improving the efficiency of the system and saving energy.

  1. Analog regulation:
    • Mechanical thermostats: These devices control the temperature in the circuit using a thermostatic element that changes the position of the valve depending on the temperature. They often use liquid or bimetallic elements to change the position of the regulator.
    • Regulating valves: Mechanical valves allow you to manually change the flow of coolant in the circuit. They are usually equipped with a scale for setting the desired flow.
    • Balancing valves: Used to balance the distribution of the coolant between the different heating circuits. They are manually adjusted to achieve optimal flow distribution.
  2. Digital regulation:
    • Electronic thermostats: These devices operate on the basis of digital temperature sensors and can be programmed to automatically control heating depending on the set parameters. They can have time programming functions, remote control and integration with smart home systems.
    • Automatic control valves: Equipped with servo drives that automatically regulate the flow of coolant based on signals from thermostats or other control devices. This allows you to accurately maintain the set temperature and is easily integrated with automation systems.
    • Controllers and control panels: These devices coordinate the operation of various components of the heating system, such as pumps, valves and sensors. They can control several circuits simultaneously, set operating modes and provide information on the system status in real time. The adjustable heating circuit is not always controlled by the controller, but this approach provides significant advantages in the functionality of the boiler room.

Differences between analog and digital regulation:

  • Precision and automation: Digital regulation typically provides more precise control of temperature and flow due to the ability to program and automate. Analog systems require more frequent manual monitoring and adjustment.
  • Functionality: Digital devices may include additional features such as remote control via mobile apps, integration with smart home systems, and more complex programming. Analog devices are limited to basic functions and settings.
  • Energy efficiency: Digital regulation can significantly improve the energy efficiency of a system due to precise monitoring and automatic regulation. Analog systems may be less efficient due to the need for constant manual monitoring and adjustment.
  • Cost and installation: Analog systems are often lower cost and easier to install, while digital units can be more expensive and require professional installation and setup.
